Bard College at Simon's Rock: the Early College

Kellogg Music Center

This high-ceilinged, light-filled concert hall inspires musicians and serves as a crucial gathering spot for the campus community.

The home of the Simon’s Rock music program, Kellogg Music Center is a campus landmark, and a stirring reminder that Simon’s Rock is, in fact, located in a quaint New England town—the building looks like a handsomely renovated town hall, right down to the distinctive stained-glass windows that line the building’s walls.

Kellogg is emblematic of how creativity and community intersect at Simon’s Rock. One day, you’ll find students attending classes and practicing in the building’s music rehearsal rooms. The next day, it serves as an intimate host for lectures by current faculty and visiting scholars, performances by student and faculty groups, and senior thesis presentations. It’s also the site of the college’s regular community meetings, when students, faculty, and staff gather to share their concerns, ideas, and plans for the campus.
